Boat Skipper course with exam
Skipper of a motor boat or a sailing boat less than 24 m in length should have a valid Boat leader’s licence of competence.

Our programme is designed to meet the requirements of Slovenian Maritime Administration and during the course you obtain the necessary knowledge to pass the exam. We combine self-learning, 5-hour lecture, practical exercises on navigation and practical exercises on knots. Our skilled teachers are going to prepare you for the examination and you will be able to answer more than 420 exam questions correctly!
Our offer includes all needed handbooks and tools that you need to prepare for the exam.
The location and the time of the individual 5-hour lecture is set individually by agreement.

Applying conditions
To prove you are psychophysically fit and you attended a first aid course you must have a valid driving licence for car or motorcycle issued in any of EU member states.
Boat skipper course content
Boat Skipper course includes the following chapters which correspond to the examination syllabus of Slovenian Maritime Administration:
- maritime regulations and legislation,
- seamenship,
- basic marine navigation,
- regulations for preventing collisions at sea and
- basic knowledge of power systems.
Boat skipper examination
The examination is organized by Slovenian Maritima Administration and you can attend it in Koper, Ljubljana or Maribor. The exam consists of practical part (tying knots and use of navigation charts) and theoretical part in front of a three-person committee.
VHF marine radio course with exam
According to the law, at least one person on the vessel equiped with VHF marine radio must posses a valid Licence of competence for the VHF GMDSS station. The licence is mandatory for all motor boats and sailing boats in charter.

Our programme is designed to meet the requirements of Slovenian Maritime Administration and during it you obtain the necessary knowledge to pass the exam. We combine self-learning, individual 3-hour face to face lecture and practical exercises on VHG GMDSS radio simulator. Our skilled teachers are going to prepare you for the examination and you will be able to answer more than 120 exam questions correctly!
Our offer includes all needed handbooks and tools that you need to prepare for the exam.
Our offer includes also free access to VHF GMDSS simulator© that is used during the course, for practicing at home and also during the examination. The use of the simulator is supported by videos.

- radiotelephony procedures and protocols and
- operating a VHF GMDSS radio simulator.
